Windows 7 Application Compatibility List
If you’ve been put off upgrading because you’re not sure if software will work, this spreadsheet from Microsoft if something you should read.
The Windows 7 Application Compatibility List was created for IT professionals, but a large spreadsheet is hardly complicated. There are entries for around 5542 different programs with information on the latest version, contact details (very useful) and compatibility status for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.
It looks like there are regular updates too, the download page says it was published on 16 November (two days ago).

Does anyone know if Windows 7 is compatible with Quicken 2007?

I've a Sony Vaio running Vista Business. I checked the Windows 7 upgrade site carefully. Vista Business has to be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. So I bought a copy of W7Pro Upgrade N. Come to do the upgrade and - guess what - W7Pro Upgrade N won't upgrade Vista Business. Actually, that's the first thing the "Simplified" installation booklet tells you - AFTER you've opened the packaging. Actually, it tells you that "this version of Windows 7 does not suppport upgrades from ANY previous version of Windows. Some fabulous kind of upgade this is then. Thanks Microsoft - £180 down the toilet.
