Share any Windows 7 software problems
So far my move to Windows 7 has been an easy one. Installation was straightforward (well, after I gave up on an upgrade) and I’ve not had any problems installing software, including the relatively old Office 2003.
One relief has been that the programs the Upgrade utility be removed before Windows 7 could be installed have not caused me any problems. Even so it’s not unusual for there to be compatibility problems when a new version of Windows comes out. There’s a thread over on the Computeractive Forums where people are sharing the programs that have problems in Windows 7. Thankfully it’s a small list and I’m hoping that it remains that way.

Is it true that when updating from Win Vista to Win 7 that Windows Mail gets wiped out?

Hi
Windows 7 seems much better than other version of windows. Try to using office 2010. Its amazing! I don't face any software problem yet. If you are facing, try to change the compatibility for windows and enjoy.
Thanks

Sometime over this past weekend something has gotten into my windows 7 and is causing drop downs to not function right. When I try to scroll down Favorites, for example, the system will not allow me to scroll past the botton of the first page. When I try to go further down, the computer repositiones the cursor to the top of the dropdown. Any one know how to fix this?
Thanks

Win 7 is unsecure system. It allows websites to self install viruses. Therefore I switched it with Linux Mint and enjoy it too much. Life is easyer without microsoft crap.

Windows suffers from a reputation that I don't think it deserves any more. Windows 7 is much more secure and tools like User Account Control (very similar to the password in linux to perform root actions) go a long way to keeping a computer safe.
For the record, I use both Windows and Linux, prefer different aspects of each over the other but don't feel that there's a clear winner. Having said that my experience of Windows 7 has been the best windows yet.

Since installing the Windows7 update on my laptop i have been unable to install many programs that vista had no issues with. This is rather frustrating. I am usually using a cd to install a program, then it tells me that there is a missing file. Has anyone else heard of this or know of a fix? Would be much appreciated!!
