Great free fonts from Smashing magazine
I wrote a feature recently on installing new fonts. The problem is not so much the how but the what. It can be quite tricky to find good quality fonts to use in projects. Smashing Magazine has just published a list of some very attractive fonts, along with links too previous articles.
Well worth a look if you have any design projects planned.

I absolutely despise when this happens.

Good post and nice fonts. I find myself never trying out different fonts because I'm so used to the regular more common ones. I'm going to start experimenting with some new fonts.

New fonts are good, but they should not be too fancy as our eyes would have lot of trouble recognizing them.

I really like new and different fonts. The reason is because it helps our works to stand out a lot more. It can make a website look more unique - putting you light years ahead of your competition. The only problem with everything is that if you use it on a website and your viewer does not have it on their computer - they don't see it correctly. So you have to save it as a .jpg and insert it as an image. Either way - I LOVE THESE FONTS!!!

Thanks for this. I was looking for a range of fonts recently & was gobsmacked at how much you can have to pay for just 1 (it was adobe though), and I've also had problems with fonts with viruses and just, well, rubbish ones too.
