Speeding up web browsing

There’s an idea from Gervase Markham that caught my eye in the blogroll today. Get browsers to start the process of downloading a page when the cursor hovers over a link.

In fact you can already give this a go by installing the FasterFox addon for Firefox.

Seems like a cool little technique. I agree that Firefox would be good for this, as it is much better than IE.

this is a sweet find.

my mom is on dial up, i'm sure it will help her a lot more than me though. i'm on a 24mb connection.

Well Firefox is a must. I find it working better that IE in any day of the week.But I didn't know about this addon. Will give it a try. Thanks for sharing !

Great widget!! I just downloaded it. I do many downloads and it makes the whole process very slow as I use a very slow dial up connection. Thanks a lot for sharing it.

Great post, this will help with firefox. I believe firefox is MUCH better than IE. So many more features.
