Multi-touch
Yes, I know, this is a Windows blog, and Apple's iPhone has already had enough hype without any help from us. But all the talk about the new phone's multi-touch interface reminded me of a scene from the always-excellent Ted 'ideas conferences'. From last year's session, in fact, at which Jeff Han of New York University demonstrated the first working multi-touch interface. It's a spectacular demonstration, and one that shows a whole new way of working with a computer. The pertinent question is: when are we going to get a Windows version?
