DVD playback software for Windows Vista
As we have to point out, Windows Vista Home Basic cannot play DVD movies without the help of extra software whatever the inference of the Windows Media Player information. Normally we end up recommending separate software such as Cyberlink PowerDVD but DVD Decoder from Roxio may well give this a run for it's money, after all it is rather a waste to buy the full software when you are happy with Media Player.
The other big advantage is price at just $15, £7.50. System requirements are within what you would expect for Vista.

Hi,
I think this could be misleading for your readers. The Windows Media Centre which comes packaged with Windows Vista Home Premium copes fine without any separate DVD playback software.

DVD Recorder is a decent software and I second the recommendation.

And I suppose there's nothing wrong with the free VLC media player either?
